What is Ultrapure Water?
Ultra pure water, also known as high-purity water, refers to water in which almost all conductive media are removed from the water, and colloidal substances, gases, and organic matter that do not dissociate from the water are removed to a very low degree,. The salt content of ultrapure water is below 0.1mg/L, and the conductivity is less than 0 1 μ s/cm.
Pure water and ultrapure water not only have strict requirements for salt content or conductivity, but also have strict limitations on the content of various metal ions, organic matter, particle size and quantity, and microbial count in the water.
What is EDI (Electrodeionization)?
It is a new type of ultrapure water preparation technology that gradually developed in the 1990s It ingeniously integrates electrodialysis technology and ion exchange technology, achieving directional migration of ions to the concentrated water chamber under the action of a direct current electric field through the selective permeation of cations and anions by cation exchange membranes and the exchange of ions by ion exchange resins, thereby completing deep desalination of water and obtaining ultrapure water. At the same time, water molecules are electrolyzed into hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions to regenerate the resin, eliminating the traditional acid-base chemical regeneration.
